Lee Petty drives a 1949 Plymouth to victory in the 175 mile NASCAR race on the dirt track at the Occoneechee Speedway in North Carolina. Long disused, the Speedway site is now heavily overgrown. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and now comprises 44 acres and over 3 miles (4.8 km) of trails.
