OUR HISTORY
Jeff started working on cars at a young age. He soon grew independent, taking on projects of his own and learning ever since. Now, he and his wife Lisa own multiple vintage cars, and enjoy running their own shop. We are proud of our rich history and enjoy working with our customers
THE STAFF

JEFF CARTER - Owner
You could say Jeff has been in the automotive industry since before he was old enough to grow a moustache. His love of MoPar automobiles drove him to start his own auto restoration business. Jeff opened JC Auto Restoration, Inc. in 1978. Over the years, he and his wife Lisa have integrated themselves into the MoPar community, travelling to MoPar events and helping many other auto enthusiasts with their projects.

Lisa Peterson - C0-Owner
When Lisa first met Jeff she rode a bicycle. That changed pretty quickly! Lisa has become something of an automotive aficionado due to many years of being married to the biggest MoPar nerd around. She loves nothing better than a long road trip in one of their MoPars, and has been known to maybe, just maybe, push the speed limit on those long open stretches of highway in Montana.

Matt Mason
Matthew Mason formerly from Birmingham Alabama. Matthew started working on classic car restorations at the age of 17. With 20 years experience he is proficient in assembly and interior fabrication. On his off time he is an avid video gamer and enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors.

R.I.P. John Lees (1961-2025)
John was originally a customer of JC Auto, and after retiring from Costco he joined us in 2021 to answer the phone, assist customers, ship and receive products, and other tasks as the need arose. John was a longtime car guy and lover of all things vintage, including 1962 Seattle World's Fair memorabilia, radios, TVs, and jukeboxes. John owned a 1960 Chrysler Windsor 2-door hardtop and two 1961 Chrysler Newports - a 2-door hardtop and a convertible. He is survived by his wife Laura and his daughter Megan. A celebration of his life will be held on June 12 from 6-10 PM at the Edmonds Yacht Club: https://obituaries.seattletimes.com/obituary/john-lees-1092825070.
He had a gift for connecting people and for telling colorful stories. He is deeply missed here at JC Auto Restoration, and in the much wider old car community.

Ryan Lacabanne - Gauge Restoration Specialist
Ryan Lacabanne has been working as a senior gauge technician for JC Auto since 2014. Ryan grew up with a passion for classic cars and an engineer's mind; both of which serve him well at JC Auto. Ryan attended the University of Oregon, spent almost 20 years in the restaurant industry and also did a stint as a commercial diver before starting to work for JC Auto. In 2022, Ryan, his wife Kellie and their daughter Abigail moved back to Kellie’s home state of Montana, where Ryan opened up JC Auto Montana. When he isn’t restoring customer's gauges, you can find Ryan spending time with family, playing music, cooking and working towards his pilot’s license.
our cars
Perhaps we take so much pride in our work because, as car owners ourselves, we would expect nothing less on our own projects. The world of MoPar is exciting, from the cars to the community. We are are proud to celebrate our passion in both our personal and professional lives with a fleet of our own cars.
